We have Duroc pigs, an American breed from the 1800s, with dark red-brown coloring and high-quality meat. The sows farrow in the barn, then are later moved to pasture with their piglets who grow to processing weight outdoors in the fresh air and sunshine. They are fed non-GMO corn as well as a variety of vegetable and plant foods.
